    •   Highway crosses Ballenger Creek and is flanked by          Arcadia and Markell properties

PURPOSE & NEED
         Improve safety conditions and traffic operations for          vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic along          Buckeyestown Pike near historic properties and          Ballenger Creek

CHALLENGE
    •   Develop an alternative that balances impacts to
         natural and historic resources
    •   Address detour and safety complications arising from          proposed alternatives
